Do I need any previous experience in boiler and pressure systems?

An authorised person will have the responsibility for control, operation and maintenance of installed mechanical plant. Delegates attending the course must have the relevant level of experience of pressure and boiler systems, mechanical principles and theory.

There is no legislative requirement for external accreditation of this Authorised Person Mechanical Course. Therefore to save our customers costs, we have opted not to externally accredit this course.

Instead, successful candidates will receive a certificate of completion. This can act as a recommendation to support an Authorising Engineer’s decision when considering the appointment of Authorised Persons.

However, this certificate should be refreshed every 3 years. This helps prove your competency and restore vital information learnt in training.
