This responsible person for fire course is designed for anyone who is involved or nominated as the Fire Safety Responsible Person within a premise or building. This training course will cover how to be compliant with the Regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety) 2005 and other key pieces of legislation

Responsible Person Fire Training Course Overview

This Fire Responsible Person training course will develop or reinforce knowledge of the current Fire Safety legislation including:

  • The Fire Precautions Act 1971
  • Regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety) 2005
  • Fire Safey Order 2021 
  • The Building Safety Bill

As well as delegates covering the Latest amendment (23rd August 2022 Regulation 10) of the Fire Safety Order coving changes in multi-occupied residential buildings of 11m in England. 

In this responsible persons training delegates will cover the fire safety requirements of building regulations (Approved Documents B) and how to perform a fire risk assessment of a premise using the Gov.uk checklist. 

This fire safety responsible person course is a City & Guilds Accredited program and develops the knowledge of safety measures and evacuation plans of a building, including covering compartmentation models of premises and fire doors. For further training on Fire Doors, Hydro-X Training offers a Fire Door Inspection Course.

As a Responsible person doing a risk assessment, this course covers all the fire fighting equipment requirements including fire detection equipment, fire extinguishers, and emergency exit signage and lighting.

For the online training option, the assessment will be completed via a PC, mobile phone, or tablet

On successfully completing the Responsible Person Fire Course, you will receive a City and Guilds Accredited Programme Certificate.

A digital copy of your certificate will be ready within 7 working days.

This will need to be renewed every 3 years.
