Steam Boilers Chemistry Training Overview
This City & Guild Accredited programme in Steam Boilers Chemistry is a 1-day training course designed to provide the learner with the knowledge, information and confidence to effectively manage and treat a boiler system effectively.
Over the day the course will cover a number of topics to help the learner gain the required knowledge, including being able to identify your boiler type and all the boiler fittings on the boiler and what they are used for.
Other learning points include how to conduct the daily and weekly recommended tests, why these tests are conducted furthermore being able to interpret and understand boilers’ results and the implications. Boiler water treatment chemicals and chemistry are covered alongside achieving an understanding of combustion, and the by-products produced from the combustion process.
Furthermore, the learner will cover:
- Understanding the different types of feedwater treatment and storage, the recommendations, and what happens if a site gets it wrong
- Appreciate the different types of boiler blowdown, blowdown control, blowdown vessels and the operational recommendations
- Gain a better knowledge of boiler house efficiency savings.
