Job Title: Sales Engineer – Air
Reports To: Managing Director
Location: Contracted as home/office based but required to visit customers and potential customers and attend meetings at the relevant Company office as necessary
Employment: Full time

The Sales Engineer is part of a regional management team and will take direction from and is accountable to the managing Director, liaising and co-ordinating with Marketing, the Operations Manager and other Business Development Managers as required.

There is a requirement for significant travel within the Region and occasionally within the UK. This position has no direct reports.


1. to undertake activities that support the company Vision and Mission;

2. the identification and active pursuit of new business opportunities for the Company’s products and services;

3. when required, to liaise with and assist Marketing in the planning and execution of both marketing, promotional and product/service launch activities;

4. to pre-prepare the monthly 121, meet on a monthly basis to review the 121 and carry out the actions agreed with your line Manager;

5. when requested, to liaise with and assist Marketing in new product development and support;

6. the identification of potential market opportunities for the Company and the reporting of these opportunities to your line Manager and Marketing;

7. the effective use of Company customer and prospective customer contact activities tools and systems;

8. as far as they are personally able, to ensure, proactively, that the Company’s customer and prospective customer contact database & sales activity is up to date;

9. compliance with all relevant Government, Industry and Company promulgated Health and Safety rules, regulations, requirements or codes of practice, including the preparation and communication of RAMS;

10. the prompt, complete and effective reporting to your line manager / director of the company of all customer/prospective customer information/activity, using Company standard formats if available;

11. the prompt, complete and effective completion of such administrative, budgeting and monitoring duties as may be required by the Company;

12. at all times to represent the Company in a professional manner such that the stature of the Company is enhanced at every opportunity;

13. attendance of training & meetings as required by the company;

14. to ensure that such Company vehicles as are entrusted to the job incumbent are maintained in a good and clean condition and in good working order;

15. to keep themselves informed of all changes to such technical and regulatory issues which a relevant to the Company’s business;

16. top ensure that any non-vehicular Company equipment entrusted to the job incumbent is well maintained and in good working order and

17. such other activities which may reasonably be requested of a Business Development Manager by the appropriate line Manager or a Director of the Company


1. meeting or exceeding the tasks identified within the monthly 121

2. meeting or exceeding the agreed monthly new business forecast by value;

3. meeting or exceeding the agreed number of new business quotations to be issued per month;

4. the accuracy and relevance of all information supplied to the Company for the Region/part of Region for which the Business Development Manager is responsible;

5. the accuracy and quality of all data supplied to the Company in support National Accounts;

6. the accuracy and relevance of all information personally placed on the Company’s CRM;

7. personal appearance and attitude when representing the Company whether this is within working hours or not;

8. the cleanliness, tidiness and operational effectiveness of all Company equipment of vehicles entrusted to the job incumbent;

9. working within Health and Safety limits at all times and

10. being abreast of all necessary technical and regulatory issues which a relevant to the Company’s business
