A 1 day TMV training course designed for delegates who are involved in the installation, monitoring, commissioning and overall management of thermostatic mixing valves. Delegates will leave the course with a basic understanding of the core subject and legislation surrounding it.


TMV Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance Training Overview
This thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) training course will give the delegate’s an understanding of different types of TMV & TMT and the working mechanisms. Furthermore, it covers the installation and commissioning of new TMVs and the maintenance of TMVs including the reporting of non-compliant issues and incorrectly installed valves.
It covers all the legislation surrounding the use of TMVs including the Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH, Water Supply Regulations (Water Fittings), and NHS D08 and Requirement G3 for Hot Water Supply and Systems.
Part of this course is how to manage the risk to health, such as the increased risk of exposure to legionella bacteria, as well as how TVMs minimise the risk of scalding
Delegates will then complete an assessment ensuring the delegates leave with a full understanding of TMVs.

- To gain an understanding of the safe operation and monitoring of TMV devices
- To gain an understanding of how to commission and service a TMV
At the end of the TMV training, each delegate undertakes a multiple-choice assessment. This consists of 20 questions with 15 correct answers achieving a pass grade (75%).
On successful completion of this TMV Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance course, you will receive a City and Guilds Accredited Programme Certificate.
A digital certificate will be made available to download. This is usually available within 48hrs of successfully completing this course.
Paper copies of certificates can be supplied subject to a small administration fee.
This will need renewing every 2 years.

This City and Guilds Accredited Programme is available as a 1-day face to face open classroom at one of our training centres with a highly skilled and knowledgeable trainer. However, if the classroom option doesn’t suit we offer this course using our bespoke live training environment over 3.5 hours.
Online training offers the same expert trainer delivering the course, with the ability to interact with the trainer in the same way as a live classroom, with answers to any questions being provided directly from the trainer on the course.
