Revitalising Kitchen Extracts for Ongoing Care Home Success

Introduction

Hydro-X Air have been working with a well respected care home client since 2018. The care home that we work closely with provide safe, secure, and specialist care and have over 130 care homes across the UK with support options for residents both young and old.

Challenge

The relationship began following a tender over 5 years ago for a Kitchen Extract Cleaning contractor to service 130 Care home sites to meet their compliance requirements for air hygiene and fire safety. 

At the beginning of 2022, we were offered the opportunity to carry out Laundry extract cleaning across the same sites to provide an all in one solution.

Solution

Each site is now provided with Kitchen Extract Cleaning and Laundry extract cleaning which forms part of the annual ppm (pre planned maintenance) service, with 130 visits booked in per year.

As part of this, they receive 24-hour reporting on the cleaning along with hygiene certificates of the work completed. All documents are then uploaded to an online portal (C365) for the client to view at their leisure.

Value added

Since taking on the contract in 2018, the client has continued to renew with Hydro-X Air each subsequent year following good feedback and consistent quality cleans from our nationwide team.

We have also carried out one-off jobs including fire damper remedials and Air Handling Unit cleaning to help support their compliance requirements.
