Empowering Internal Growth & Development at Hydro-X
Continually Striving Towards Our Delivery Goals
Internal training is nothing new to Hydro-X, as we continue to strive towards our delivery goals. However, we do continue to invest in our team’s continued development, through our dedicated training centre and business Hydro-X Training.
In our latest development Hydro-X Air, in a strategic collaboration with Hydro-X Training, has successfully designed and constructed a fantastic new training area dedicated to internal training for the Hydro-X Air engineers.
This new area at the Sheffield training centre, on top of Hydro-X Training’s already impressive set up aims to enhance the skills and preparedness of the Hydro-X Air team members by providing them with further realistic training environments. A significant aspect of this development includes the installation of a kitchen extract system and a ventilation system, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to handle real-world scenarios.Â
Let’s delve into the details of the hard graft which has gone into the new set-up.
Creating an Advanced Training Area
Recognising the importance of continuous improvement and professional development, Hydro-X Air and Hydro-X Training combined their expertise to conceptualise and build an exceptional internal training area. The main goal was to create a space that would simulate real-world scenarios, enabling the Hydro-X Air team to acquire and hone practical skills and enhance their problem-solving abilities.
Installation of Kitchen Extract and Ventilation Systems
One of the standout features of the newly developed training area is the integration of a high-quality kitchen extraction system and a ventilation system, all installed by our senior engineering team from Hydro-X Air led by Dariusz Zarowny (Head of Air Operations) and Kit Horwood (Remedial Service Delivery Manager) with the ongoing support from Paul Wilson (Managing Director of Hydro-X Training) and his team. These systems play a vital role in preparing the Hydro-X Air team to handle various challenges they may encounter while working on real projects.
Kitchen Extract Systems: Hydro-X Air recognises that effective extraction systems play a crucial role in commercial kitchen environments. By installing an advanced kitchen extraction system, the training area replicates the conditions and challenges that professionals face in the field. This empowers team members to master the intricacies of managing and maintaining these systems in real-world scenarios to reduce fire risks.
Ventilation System: Proper ventilation systems are essential for maintaining a clean and safe environment. The newly installed system provide an authentic experience for the team to learn how to design, install, and maintain ductwork efficiently. By simulating complex ventilation setups, the training area equips the Hydro-X Air team with the necessary expertise to optimise airflow and ensure optimal system performance.
Benefits of Realistic Training Facilities
The installation of a kitchen extraction system and ventilation systems within the training area brings numerous benefits to the Hydro-X Air team:
Enhanced Practical Learning: By immersing team members in a realistic environment, they can apply their skills and knowledge to overcome challenges they might encounter on the job. The hands-on experience gained in the training area prepares our team in handling complex situations with confidence.
Improved Problem-Solving Skills: The training area fosters critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Team members can analyze and troubleshoot issues related to kitchen extraction systems and ventilation systems, enabling them to devise efficient solutions under realistic conditions.
Minimised Risk: The training area serves as a controlled setting where potential risks can be identified and mitigated without consequences for clients or operations. It allows the team to experiment, learn from mistakes, and fine-tune their skills before executing projects in the real world.
A Recipe For Success
The collaborative effort between Hydro-X Air and Hydro-X Training has resulted in the establishment of an advanced internal training area. This facility not only provides the Hydro-X Air team with a realistic environment for honing their skills.Â
As Hydro-X Air continues to prioritise the growth and development of its team members, this innovative training area serves as a testament to the group’s commitment to excellence. By investing in such forward-thinking initiatives, collaboratively Hydro-X Training has helped Hydro-X Air in solidifying its position as a leader in the industry, dedicated to providing high-quality services to clients while empowering its team to excel in their roles.

This means our employees are confident in safely and efficiently doing the right job for our customers in the field. Our investment in developing the skills of our team members makes us a company where you can have a career, not just a job.
Coming Up at Hydro-X Training
This recent installation is the first of many updates for Hydro-X Training and its practical facilities. Coming up we have upgrades to the water treatment and water hygiene training facilities for both internal training for Hydro-X Water staff and external for clients, along with further growth in the South of England.
Watch this space as Hydro-X Training looks to continue on its vast growth plan and open up tried and tested internal courses to our customers.
Comments From Paul Wilson (Managing Director Hydro-X Training) Following Completion of The Air Hygiene Facilities
