Theory of TMVs for Healthcare and Non-Healthcare Sites
The theory covers a range of topics so the delegate has a solid understanding of TMVs and risks that can be associated with Thermostatic Mixing Valves.
This includes looking at basic Legionella Bacteria awareness, as well as legislation surrounding TMVs. This includes ACoP L8, HSG274 and Healthcare Technical Memorandum 04-01: Supplement Performance Specifications D08.

Furthermore, the theory side of this TMV training course covers the assessment of risk, as well as who is at risk of scalding through case studies. Before the practical element, the delegates will also learn about TMV Commissioning, flow rates, and pressure checks and look at the PD 855468:2015 guide to disinfection of services supplying domestic buildings.
