This City & Guilds Accredited programme has been developed for those working in the healthcare system dealing with hot and cold-water systems that could pose a foreseeable risk of legionella bacteria. This could include maintenance staff, housekeepers, and admin staff.
This training programme will help to develop the skill and underpinning knowledge for effective hot and cold water system control in health care buildings. This course will cover Parts A-C in Healthcare Technical Memorandum 04-01: Safe Water in Healthcare premises and the D08 supplement for Thermostatic Mixing Valves.

Our Water Safety Awareness for Healthcare Premises (HTM 0401) training course has been designed with personnel that is involved in controlling the risk of Legionella bacteria, Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, Mycobacteria, and other microorganisms that pose a threat from hot and cold-water systems in healthcare premises.
At the end of the Water Safety Awareness for Healthcare Premises (HTM 0401) training each delegate undertakes a multiple-choice assessment consisting of 20 questions. 15 correct answers achieve a passing grade (75%).
For the online training option, the assessment will be completed via a PC, mobile phone or tablet.
On successfully completing the HTM 04-01 Operators Course, you will receive a City and Guilds Accredited Programme Certificate.
A digital certificate will be made available for you to download normally within 48hrs of successfully completing this course. However, paper copies of certificates can be supplied subject to a small administration fee.
This will need to be renewed every 2 years.
