Correct Method for Bacterial Water Sampling Course Overview
This is a 1-day legionella training course covering routine water sampling in accordance with HSG274 and HSG282. These HSE directives recommend that Legionella Sampling is part of the control regimes with cooling towers, evaporative condensers, spa pools as well as part of other high-risk areas such as hot and cold water systems.
This course is accredited by City & Guilds, and during the training you will review, why and the importance of sampling water from your water systems, it covers the nature of waterborne pathogens, the different equipment required in water sampling, production of sampling plans, different techniques used and the value of regular dipslide testing. This course concludes with how to send water samples to the lab with the correct information included.

This Correct Method for Legionella Water Sampling training course is an ideal addition for anyone who is responsible for maintaining and managing the safety of a water system. As a Responsible person for hot and water systems, or other water systems, taking samples for legionella testing is an essential part of risk management in each water system.

The Importance of Water Sampling
All water systems must be risk-assessed for safety, so appropriate measures can be put in place to reduce the risks posed by legionella bacteria.
Water sampling and testing therefore is a vital action to take on water systems to check all relevant measures are working as they should be. Furthermore, it can provide critical information should a Legionnaires Disease breakout occur. Regular testing, monitoring and maintenance combined will help reduce the risk.

This will need to be renewed every 2 years.
