We are thrilled to announce that Karl Birkinshaw has been promoted, taking on the role of Head of Compliance & Development within Hydro-X Group services.
Karl’s journey has been a remarkable one, with a long standing love affair with Hydro-X stemming over 17 years!
Karl has seen it all, from starting out as an Environmental Engineer to progressing to the Senior Leadership Team and we couldn’t be prouder!

A Message From Gary Sewell
Karl brings with him a wealth of experience and in my opinion is an excellent fit to this prestige role.
Karl has been working with me over the last few months analysing our entire business and to help shape and strengthen our business proposition. It is our intention to identify areas of the business where we can continue to invest in upskilling and to give everyone an opportunity to develop their career here at Hydro-X Water.
Over the coming weeks and months Karl will be working with the management team to further identify how we can implement our plan.
Karl will be instrumental in bringing this all together and his broad knowledge of everything water – Treatment, Hygiene, PST, Group Services and the working matrix of the business is invaluable to us.
Karl will be sending out monthly progression updates for all and working close to everyone to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to progress.
I would like to thank Karl for the last 3 months and wish him every success in his new and exciting role.
