Celebrations at the Hydro-X Company Day 2018
Our annual Company Day was held on the 19th of April 2018 at the Leicester Tigers Rugby Stadium. Our Company National brings the entire Hydro-X Group together to celebrate the previous year’s successes and to plan for the year ahead. From across the UK Hydro-X Water Treatment, Hydro-X Air, HX Training and HX Store all join together.
Key moments from the last 12 months
We have experienced many positive changes over the last 12 months throughout the Hydro-X Group. Here are just some of the key moments:
Record Growth
Hydro-X Water Treatment (specialising in legionella control, and water treatment services) has seen continued record growth in the last 12 months, exceeding our Vision and Mission goal to grow by 10% year on year.
Hydro-X Air, now in its second year (specialising in duct work cleaning, kitchen extract cleaning, fire damper inspections) similarly celebrated record growth across all measured KPIs.
This has all been achieved through the hard work and dedication of our teams, and the great market reputation Hydro-X has.
We are proud to be the largest independent water treatment company in the UK.
Growing Team
We have continued to see growth in all of the Hydro-X teams, with now 80 employees across the group. With offices in Sheffield, Preston, Lichfield, Kings Langley, Redcar and Livingston, Scotland, our team covers the entire UK.
HX Training Launched
In December 2017 HX Training was launched. Now the UK’s number 1 Specialist Provider of Legionella Training Courses based on Range, Quality, Versatility, Convenience and Value for money.
The feedback received so far from our City and Guilds and IOSH Accredited Training course has been overwhelmingly positive. We are immensely proud of our 100% ‘Willingness to Recommend’ rating

Safety Comes First!
Hydro-X have gone more than 1,695 days without a reportable accident.
This has been achieved due to our approach and commitment to complete health and safety. The Hydro-X Vision and Mission stipulates that our aim is to reduce risks for our clients and employees – you cannot manage risk riskily!
Rewarding success
Every year all of the Hydro-X employees are given the opportunity to vote for the most deserving colleagues in a number of categories. The winners this year were:
‘Most Supporting’ Award

Amy and Adele are both part of the Hydro-X Business Support Team. A surprisingly tied vote for the award of ‘Most Supporting’ team member meant double prizes for the Business Support Team.

With nearly half of the company’s votes, Nigel is a worthy winner of the Operations Team Member of the Year award.

‘Safe Driver’ Award
Daniel Lees, Environmental Engineer
Dan Lees has been awarded the ‘Safe Driver’ award after covering an astonishing 22,000 miles in the last 6 months while keeping safety at the forefront of his mind and keeping within the speed limits at all times. Here at Hydro-X we focus on the safety of our employees and the general public. All of our vehicles are fitted with tracking devices and monthly vehicle reports monitored, to ensure we provide safety both on-site and on the road.

At Hydro-X we pride ourselves on having a strong team. This was reflected in the feedback received with each vote, showing a strong a united team throughout the Hydro-X Group.
