Legionella Responsible Person with Cooling Systems Training Overview

This course satisfies the requirements of the ACoP L8 for fulfilling the role of the Responsible Person. It is designed for those managing the risk of legionella bacteria in hot and cold water systems, with cooling towers. Furthermore, this Legionella Responsible Person with Cooling Systems Training gives delegates a thorough insight into their legal obligations regarding Legionella management. This includes evaluating, monitoring and compliance options. All of which need to be considered when actioning a Legionella risk assessment. In addition, candidates will leave with an understanding of the risk of moral, legal and financial implications associated with poor control of legionella bacteria.

A final assessment will ensure that participants leave our Legionella Responsible Person Training with the ability to perform their management duties as service providers effectively.

About Legionella Responsible Person Training

Classroom and On-site

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has guidelines and instructions (ACop L8 and HSG 274) that specifically state the lack of Legionella Training is a key factor in Legionella outbreaks and in controlling the risks associated with managing water systems.

This Legionella Responsible Person Training Course with Cooling Systems is the 2-day version of our HXT-02 Legionella Responsible Person Course, as this course spends the additional day covering high-risk systems, such as Evaporative Cooling Towers. If you have such systems YOU MUST complete this course rather than the 1-day course.

This City and Guilds Accredited Legionella Responsible Person Course with Cooling Systems is delivered in a classroom environment at one of our nationwide training centres or on-site at your premises. Alternatively, this course can be completed online via 1 x 3.5hr and 1 x 2.5hrs live remote training sessions.

Live Virtual Classroom

All of our ‘Learn Anywhere‘ Legionella Courses are delivered via an innovative and user-friendly live virtual classroom platform. Our platform works just as well on a tablet, laptop or PC. Foremost, you can fully engage with the trainer throughout the course. We are here to offer you support even before and after the course is finished.
