Legionella Awareness Training Course Overview

This Legionella Awareness Training Course is for anyone involved in legionella bacteria control in hot and cold water systems. However, those who do not have overall responsibility. This training course aims to introduce Legionella Bacteria at an entry level, giving the delegate an awareness of L8, which is outlined as the most basic training requirement of the ACoP L8 guidance.

Throughout the Legionella Awareness course, we help candidates to understand the risk of Legionnaires’ disease. Additionally, candidates know how to implement actions to minimise the risk and control measures.

At the end of the legionella training, each delegate undertakes a multiple choice assessment. This consists of 20 questions with 15 correct answers achieving a pass grade (75%).

If you are taking the Virtual Classroom course, assessments will be completed online to enable faster processing of results and certification.

On successful completion of this Legionella Awareness Training, you will receive a City and Guilds Accredited Programme Certificate.

E-Learning Only

A digital certificate will be made available to download. This is usually available within 48hrs of successfully completing this course.

Paper copies of certificates can be supplied subject to a small administration fee.

Our City and Guilds Accredited Online Legionella Training Course is designed for persons with MINIMAL exposure to Legionella control. Essentially, it is for those who require the lowest acceptable level of training. Please note that the City and Guilds Accredited Programme Certificate received will specify that this course is for housekeeping and cleaning staff.

LIVE Virtual Classroom and On-site Training:

This course has been designed for anyone involved in water system hygiene control. As well as, users that can become exposed to aerosol created from water systems. It aims to introduce key aspects behind legionella bacteria control at the legally required basic level. Additionally, this course also acts as an effective refresher for those that have already completed Legionella training.
