Competent Person Training: Low Voltage

This competent person course is a 1-day course suitable for personnel wanting to be competent/skilled person in electrical low voltage. The low voltage course covers all the necessary technical skills and relevant experience to be able to accept work permits from Authorised Person Low Electrical Low Voltage.

Our training course covers all the legislation and guidance including Health and Safety at Work Act and understanding HTM06-02 safety rules. Working on dead & live equipment will be covered and roles and responsibilities are covered in this City & Guilds Accredited Course.

Authorised Person Electrical Low Voltage

The authorised person electrical low voltage training course has been designed for delegates who are controlling, operating, and doing maintenance on low voltage systems. At the end of this 5-day City & Guilds Accredited programme delegates should leave confident in being able to safely isolate, test, operate, and dispute complex electrical systems, and be confident in the supervision of competent persons.

This course covers all the statutory regulations an authorised person needs to follow as part of their role, as well as covering dead and live working of electrical systems.

Authoried Person Electrical Low Voltage can be used as a refresher for those who have previously completed the APLV course. The prerequisites for this course are that the candidate is: Be over 23 years old, hold an electrical NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3, and have previous and adequate knowledge of site electrical equipment.
