Authorised Person Confined Spaces – Commercial Sector Overview

This is a 4-day City & Guilds Accredited Authorised Person Confined Spaces training course designed for delegates in the commercial sector.

In this APCS commercial course, delegates will cover a range of topics that will allow them to leave with knowledge of the technical management of confined spaces and that of a permit issuer.

This course doesn’t require the delegate to do an entry using our specialist confined space units. For delegates who require entry training or work for the MOD we offer a 5-day Authorised Person Course that covers entry.

Delegates will learn about the Joint Service Publication (JSP) Chapter 6, Vol 3, covering the safety programmes set out by JSP, including management of confined spaces, risk assessments, hazard assessments of a confined space, and looking at the safety program parts 1, 2 and 3 set out by Joint Service Publication. This will cover issuing a permit for the team, as well as other key legislation, such as the Confined Space Regulations 1997

Authorised Person Confined Space (Commercial Sector) Course Learning Outcomes

During this Confined Space Authorised Persons course, the delegates will cover the following learning outcomes:
