Fire Door Light Maintenance Course Overview
This 1-day Fire Door Light Maintenance training course is designed for those who need to check fire doors as part of their facilities management duties. As part of this training programme, it will address the different types of fire door maintenance and the importance of components for fire doors, such as door closers and hinges.
During this course, it will also cover what manufacturers require to maintain certified and nominal fire doors. This fire door training will cover replacing fire door components that conform to BS8214 and maintaining the door certification.
Components covered in this course are:
- Existing Handle/Lock replacements
- Installing or replacing a door closer
- The fitting of signs
- Push and kick plates
- Hinge replacements (without the removal of the door)
- Intumescent Strip Replacements
The installation and resecuring of door stops on the frame is covered as part of this training course.
