This 1-day Legionella Training Cooling Systems onsite course is tailored for personnel working with cooling towers or evaporative cooling systems, equipping them with essential health and safety knowledge to manage Legionella bacteria risks effectively.
The course addresses key legislation and guidance, including Acop L8, HSG 274 Part 1 as well as COSHH, The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, and the Notification of Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condenser Regulation 1992 (NCTEC)
Delegates will also develop a comprehensive understanding of cooling system operations, covering commissioning, monitoring, sampling, inspections, and cleaning and disinfection procedures. This training ensures practical competence and compliance with industry health and safety standards.

Successful delegates receive a City & Guilds Accredited Certificate in Legionella Training: Cooling Systems Operatives. It is recommended to refresh this certification every two years.

This course aims to give the delegates the knowledge and skills required for effective Legionella Management
At the end of the cooling systems training, each delegate undertakes a multiple-choice assessment consisting of 16 questions. 12 correct answers achieve a passing grade (75%).
On successfully completing the Legionella Training: Cooling Systems, you will receive a City and Guilds Accredited Programme Certificate.
This will need to be renewed every 2 years.
