Important Advice About Your Live Web Conference Training Course

Pre-Course Checklist

  1. Please click test your connection to make sure you have the best experience without issues. If there are any problems identified, you will be directed to the necessary help pages.
  2. Please click on the URL link in your joining instructions email on the day of the course. We recommend logging in early to ensure everything works correctly before the course starts.
  3. Please download the workbook before the course starts. A link to the workbook will be found on your initial joining instructions. We advise printing this ahead of the course if you can. You will use it during your course.
  4. We strongly recommend you ask any questions you wish in the chat box during the training course. Depending on the number of trainees and the number of questions asked, it might not be possible to answer all the questions during the course. Rest assured, we will respond to you after the course if time runs out.
  5. PLEASE NOTE: You will not require a working camera or microphone, only the ability to hear your trainer via your speakers or headphones.

Testing your connection:

  • Click the Testing connection link – TEST YOUR CONNECTION
  • Check that all the system config is giving a green tick for connection, operating system and browser.
  • Test your audio using the options on the right of the screen
  • If everything is ok, click Join now and log in with your email
  • Check you can see and hear the video playing.
  • If it’s not playing the video or the audio check with your IT department.

Firewalls

In some instances, your company firewall will stop access to ClickMeeting and the course.

Your IT department may need to configure the firewall to allow access to ClickMeeting and whitelist IP addresses.

If this is needed please download the firewall guide and pass on to your IT department before you are scheduled on the course.

For best results, we recommend using Google Chrome or Firefox Internet Browser and NOT Microsoft Edge

We also recommend our virtual classroom courses are completed on either a desktop/laptop or a tablet device and not on a mobile phone.
